New Aggregate Storage Hoppers and Conveying System For Lafarge

Wright Engineering have just successfully completed a large installation for Lafarge's Mountsorrel Quarry in Leicestershire.

The project included the manufacture and installation of ten storage bunkers to relieve the increased demand on the existing storage facilities. The new storage bunkers are subdivided into twenty and were installed with six new conveyors with supporting trestles, a gravity tension system and access walkways.

Fabrication and assembly of the six new conveyors was carried out in the Wright fabrication shop and then transported to site in pre-assembled sections.

All erection and cladding was also carried out by the Wright Engineering team ensuring full compliance with CDM regulations and Lafarge Aggregates own health and safety systems.

This methodical approach ensured the project was completed without incident and to the full satisfaction of the client
