Ground work is well underway, at Padeswood, the project is a new SRF plant Wright Engineering are installing for Hanson cement, the plant will consist of two unloading bays, for discharging into the existing system, and a building housing the delivery system for the existing plant. Although installation has not yet started, Wright engineering as the principle contractor, maintain a presence to ensure the site is in compliance with CDM regulations, at the same time Wright fabrication are busy fabricating the steel structures.
Piling being completed, ready for the installation of equipment at the Hanson, cement plant Padeswood Chester. 12meter long foundation pilings are seen here being driven in to the ground to form part of the main building base. A total of 8 piles where set to form a secure fixing for the concrete base Shuttering and reinforcing bars ready for the concrete base to be poured. The shuttering shown here, shows the footprint for the yet to be erected building by Wright fabrication that will house, the new equipment supplied by Vecoplan AG. Still to come are the two discharge stations, and new vehicle access. Wright Engineering should start the erection, and installation within the next few weeks, once the civil construction has been completed.
