Wright on track!
Wright Engineering have recently designed and built an Alternative Fuels Feed System for E.D.F. Energy. During pre-delivery tests it became apparent that belt tracking on the short flat reversing feed conveyor would be a problem and a reliable solution needed to be found.
After trying all the conventional methods known, with little success, the design team set to work on a fully automatic adjustment system. Sensors detect the belt position and relay signals to the powerjack screw jack, which in turn adjusts the belt pulley position, keeping the belt on track. The system works perfectly and will be available to the market later this year.
