Limestone milk batching plant at Ferrybridge Power Station
Wright Engineering has just completed a project on behalf of Lentges at Ferrybridge Power Station.
LATEST UPDATE 21 July 2009
The equipment to provide an emergency supply of limestone solution to the FGD Equipment at Ferrybridge PowerStation was successfully installed and commissioned by Wright Engineering.
The equipment has been used extensively over recent months, to allow commissioning of the FGD Equipment to continue to plan, while limestone handling equipment is worked up to full availability.
The Milk Plant has received a number of visits by representatives from other UK PowerStation's who are interested in the flexibility and security that this standby system provides.
We are now actively working on an enquiry from a UK Power Station which requires the tailoring of this system to integrate the equipment into an existing building and infrastructure. This will provide our client with an extremely cost effective solution to ensuring flue gasses remain within environmental limits, even when the main limestone supply/handling system fails.
