Wright Engineering support the W2R Waste recycling Partnership.

Wright Engineering is now supporting the W2R Waste recycling Partnership of Bovis Lend Lease, Minproc and Lancashire County Council in the installation of two large Waste Recycling Facilities.

The sites for this multi billion pound project are at Leyland and Thornton on brown field sites.

Wright Engineering have been conducting the installation of the waste percolators at both sites.  The percolators are the core to the waste process and there are three units at each location.  With a length of over 20 metres and an internal diameter of over 5 metres, the installation has been a challenge.

The installation of the large shaft assembly (27t) to tight tolerances has been successfully carried out to the six units.

In addition, Wright Engineering won the contract to supply all the connecting chute work and plate work to both sites.  This contract, which is an ex works fabrication contract to supplied drawings, will have a value of close to £1m on completion.

We are fabricating, shotblasting and paint finishing to a high standard all required chutework, prior to shrink-wrapping and palletizing for delivery to the client.
