Wright Engineering have recently undertaken the construction of a 10 cell (ACC Air cooled condenser) in Glenrothes, Fife Scotland. The unit is a key component in a new biomass power station.
The project has utilised the many varied skills Wright Engineering’s staff possess, including;
•Steel erection, Buildings, equipment access and structural steelwork.
•Installation of building cladding.
•On site fabrication of large pressure part components.
•Mechanical fitting including on site assembly of drive units, GRP fan drive arrangements.
•Small bore piping ranging from 1.5 inch to 10 inch all manufactured on site.
We have carried all welding out to high coding standards (MMA & TAG). Welds have undergone extensive QA and have been MPI and Radiograph inspected (and passed).
Wright Engineering have carried out the installation under difficult and extremely confined access conditions. We have been complemented by the Client on our safe and professional approach to all the works carried out.
