Project Details
Client: PJD
Contract Name: Ash Handling & Processing System
Contract Value: £800,000
Contract Duration: 5 months
Project Description
Wright Engineering were employed to design and install a waste ash processing plant to take washed ash from a pneumatically conveyed supply into a new 200T capacity silo, under controlled feed this then discharged through a sieve station and into chain conveyors for further distribution.
The two streams either went through a conditioning screw and into a storage building, or through an elevator into a second storage silo which then pneumatically conveyed material to its destination.
Height constraints due to planning permissions caused difficulties during design but were soon overcome whilst utilising a bolted design otherwise difficult fabrication and transport challenges were avoided.
