Safety, Health, Environment and Quality

SHEQ / Safety, Health, Environment and Quality is a technical field that applies several disciplines for continuous improvement of occupational Safety, Health, Environment and Quality factors that impact on any organisation. This is accomplished by developing processes, or ways of doing work, that moves programs though a structured cycle similar to the “plan-do-check-act” or PDCA cycle. Health & Safety

Our aim is to achieve and maintain a safe place for everyone to work. This aim is worthy and realistic. To make this happen, we need your contribution and full commitment.

We have a dedicated safety, health, environment & quality (SHEQ) team. This team is responsible for developing and maintaining a positive approach to these important areas of our business and managing an engaged culture to ensure this is something we share accountability for, across all of our operations. We operate within the statutory requirements of a proven Health & Safety programme, based on a professional education and training culture that actively embraces a corporate attitude and drive to continuously deliver Zero Accident Operations.

We conduct regular internal audits on our processes and investigate any non-conformance, including incidents and near misses, so we can drive the health and safety culture of our business forward.


As an organisation that operates within the Industrial sector, we also appreciate the growing need for our both ourselves and our clients to use energy efficiently. These aims and the means in which they are executed are set out in the Wright Engineering Management System which is in accord with ISO 14001:2015.

We aim to minimise the impact of the services and projects we undertake and to assist and cooperate with our clients in the operation of their site wide programmes and systems.

We have a moral and social responsibility to support environmental measures that go beyond purely legislative requirements and encourage other businesses and suppliers to follow our lead. In keeping with this outlook, we have developed a waste management system and regularly undertake training to bring our employees a greater awareness of environmental issues.


It is the policy of Wright Engineering to provide services of a consistently high quality to our customers and to establish objectives and processes necessary to deliver results in accordance with customer and legal requirements. We operate a Quality Management System which includes aspects specific to our scope of works, this System is certified by BSI to ISO9001:2015 standards.

We constantly monitor our quality performance and implement improvements when appropriate. This includes regular reviews of the policy in order to ensure its continuing suitability and that it complies with all English and EU legislation and regulations specifically related to our business activities. Our personnel understand the requirements of our Quality Policy and abide with the contents of the manual within which the structure of the Quality Management System is defined. A copy of this policy is given to all members of staff upon induction as well as when changes have been made to the policy as a means of communicating the effectiveness of the Quality Management System.
